LDS Film Festival

You may or may not have heard that our film "The Phone Call" which was written by me and S and filmed by W, was accepted as a finalist in the LDS Film Festival, Family-Made category.  I think they've now added the honorary title of home-made films.

The whole, give your film some media hype is really, exceedingly, very daunting to me.

Will this film relate to everyone?  Probably every parent or child-care provider. 
Will the audience laugh?  Hopefully at least a huge smile.
Will the audience need formal attire?  Ha! I have to find that out, but it's doubtful.
How long is the film? About a minute and a half.
What have you learned? A lot about directing, the need to direct, helping others understand goals, thinking that next time the 24-hour film may be what I want to do.

What else do you want to know about the film festival.  A lot of really famous people are in some of the films.

Kate Winslet, Dick Van Dyke, Jane Seymour, Patrick Stewart, Jon Heder, James Roday, Cheryl Hines, Gary Cole, Henry Ian Cusick, Brian Krause, Kevin Sorbo, and Wilford Brimley, are all part of several films scheduled at this year's festival.
From drama to comedy to fantasy to documentary, the festival showcases a diverse lineup of films.
Feature films include the powerful drama Just Let Go (starring Henry Ian Cusick)the romantic comedy Christmas Eve (starring Patrick Stewart, Jon Heder, James Roday, Cheryl Hines, Gary Cole), the family film Miracle Maker (starring Brian Krause), the fantasy drama Mythica: The Necromancer (starring Kevin Sorbo) as well as the fantasy comedy Dudes & Dragons, the dramedyTrew Calling, and the 10-year anniversary screening of Mr. Dungbeetle.
Pretty fun, right!  I am super excited to take you kidlets, with me. We're going to watch a lot of movies and meet a lot of really great people!
