The Phone Call/Parental Conundrum

EQ Target Shooting Activity

There was an Elders Quorum activity two Saturdays ago and the wives and children aged 10 and over were invited.

There were shot guns, glocks (with which I got a target from 35 yards away--Yay!), and 22s.

They posed for me to take this photo.
I thought I could get all the faces, but didn't.

Happy Day of Giving Thanks

I recognize that the photo above is grainy, but it is the best one I could find.  Seven years ago, we went to Plymouth, Massachusetts for Thanksgiving. We saw the Mayflower look-a-like.  We ran into our friends, Lindsay and Blake Anderson--from Brooklyn. They were with their relatives. We got a new electric piano because we had to get rid of ours since we couldn't fit it up the stairs in our new apartment there.

These are happy memories!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Parent Teacher Conference

Sometimes I think homeschooling is a superb idea for us.  The reason being that most of the time I absolutely love having you home with me.  Also, I tend to be a bit spontaneous and do something absolutely wonderful like dashing off to Portland for an outing, running to the park for a sweat-inducing game of tag in and around the playground.
But the things that are stopping me are the fact that you adore your friends and love to see them on a a daily basis.  You are learning the social ropes.  Possibly more than anything that same spontaneity which makes it fun for us to go out on adventures can make it impossible to establish a school-like schedule.  Trust me, I know you well and you thrive on a schedule.
K found my phone and she took a photo by herself.  I can see what will happen.  Love it!

By the way, did you know how dearly I love you?!  Just thought you should know, again and again.

See You Later, Grandma

Grammers visit ended.  The reading of George's Marvelous Medicine finished.  Baking and cooking completed.
You hugged her goodbye and we took a few photos.
T, you insisted on taking your own photo.
To calm your sadness we went to Pizza Schmizza.  You sat in the boat and ate your pizza.

I loved spending the day with you.

Grammers Visit and the New Couch

Remember that last post?!  Check out the new couch. What do you think?

You loved the couch.  But you for sure loved having Grammers waaaay more.
Before she leaves, Grammers holds your hand and tells you, "Be strong. Be true. I love you!"
Thank you for coming, Grammers! We love you!

Hair Change

 These are the before photos.

This is during. T, you texted me, "Mom, where are you?" I sent you this photo.
This is the first "after" photo.  With the lights on my hair, you probably cannot tell much of a difference.
Maybe you can tell more of a difference below. It is just a shade or two lighter than my original color. I feel very sophisticated.  According to my stylist, it is perfect for fall/winter.  I tried to talk him into giving me strawberry blonde hair--which he did thought would not go well with my skin tone.  I was a bit put out, but then I remembered the one time I tried on a strawberry blonde wig.  It did not look good.  I think he was wise.

This was right after the primary program at church--which went really well!  Thank goodness! :D
