Beach Young Men and Young Women Activity

R and Dad went on the Youth Beach Trip from our church on Saturday.
The kids had a wonderful time and our van was packed with he under-14 crowd.  The over-14 crowd went to a dance afterward.  It was a Stake activity.

These are the adorable Winter kidlets and they make me smile every time I see them. They are not over 12, but came for the fun--since both mom and dad are in the YM and YW leadership.

R, you played in the water most of the time while Dad threw the football for four hours.  You came home with a great tan, R.  Dad was super sunburned.

"Book of Mormon" Read-A-Thon

Our ward Young Men and Young Women did something that I have never heard of before.  They did a Book of Mormon read-a-thon, where they read and listened to the entire Book of Mormon in one day--or around 18 hours.
You got there at 6 a.m.
T and S, Dad wanted you to go too so he went with you and the Young Men whom he works with in church.

R, you went too--now that you are at that age.

When Dad took these photos it was about 10:30 at night.

S, you told me that you felt like your testimony grew about eight times while listening to/reading The Book of Mormon.  You've been asking me a lot of questions about Jesus Christ and His second coming.  I've loved it!

You finished The Book of Mormon around 1:30 a.m.  You made it home around 2 a.m.
Next time, if they do this again, we are going to take more pillows and blankets for you.  So glad you had the opportunity to do this!

Street of Dream At PDX

You and I, S, met our dear friend, Erika at the Lake Oswego Street of Dreams.
It was so fun! There were places that I just loved certain elements.

 I loved these plants.
These rooms were based on a poem "The Owl and the Pussycat."

It was so fun!  I lost my glasses so I am falling back on my old ones for the time being.
Surprisingly, to me, at the end I was thrilled to go back to my less-styled and imperfect home.  I felt like it is mine and while I liked some of the ideas, felt like people must have worked their hearts out on those homes, and enjoyed my friend's company I was thrilled to get home with my family and my ideas.

Peter Pan at ACT

We went and saw "Peter Pan" at the Albany Civic Theater (or ACT).
My friend, Stephanie was Mrs. Darling and the part where she mourned Wendy being gone and her distraught voice calling out "Wendy!" when she was sure no one would answer and her hope made me cry a little.
Samantha was slightly and she kept the audience laughing.  And she played the flute--I didn't know she coud do that!

These were the mermaids. They were fun and funny! S, you wanted a photo with them.  The flash must not have been working when we took  these so they are very blurry, but still a fun memory.

Sarah's and Zach's Wedding

A friend from W's work got married on Sunday.  It was right by the beach in Florence, Oregon.  It was so beautiful to see the waves crashing on the rocks.

Afterwards we joined some other people dad works with at the Chowder Bowl. They were so fun to talk with and it was so wonderful to spend time with Dad.  I love having you constantly with me, kidelts, but I love having dates with Dad!
See how beautiful it is at Nye Beach?!

So glad I married this handsome man!

It was so lovely!
