S, Daddy helped you invest in a helmet. Safety first, remember?  K, you can't help but want that super cute hat that S wears when she rides her bike..
S, you love to watch K and help her all you can. You are a great sister!  So thankful for your thoughtfulness and kindness.

Happy Thanksgiving!

This may be our family motto (it is still a work in progress and we're not completely settled on it), but I love this!  We put it at the top of the stairs so we will see it often and think about how wonderful things are and great things will be.

This is from when we lived in Brooklyn and we went to a private beach in the Hamptons (totally breaking the rules, but it was freezing and my cousin, Michelle was visiting).  We did have one concerned citizen stop to tell us to move, but we told them we couldn't get over how beautiful it was and that we were going to be there for just a few moments..  The sand was gorgeous, mostly made up for beautiful, almost precious stone looking pebbles.  You didn't care what the temperature was, R and S, you ran out there to enjoy the ocean.
It is moments like these above and the moments when we are together and someone says something funny and we all end up laughing.  For example, yesterday we were in the van together and listening to practicing music (courtesy of you, T) and at the same part in the song, R you sniffed really loudly, twice. I am not sure why it was so funny, but pretty soon most of us were doing it too and then guffawing (laughing really hard).  Those times make my heart melt like butter.  I know I say this over and over, in life and on the blog, but I just feel like God gave me the most wonderful family and I'm not sure what I did to be so blessed to have you!!!  God is so good to us!
Do you remember this?!  We went and saw the Mayflower for Thanksgiving one year. We were so broke we decided on turkey sandwiches.  But we had a glorious time and made some marvelous memories!

This was the first Halloween at our new place.  It was wonderful!

 S, you were a hobbit.  T, a clone trooper.
K, you were a dragon. Daddy got you all ready to go and then I picked you up and some of my costume got on you.

K, you sure love your brother, R!

I was a runner from the color run. Yes, I know. It was original and I wanted to use up the corn starch powder. What better time than Halloween.

Look at that hottie, daddy!  You stayed in his arms the whole time, K.

Oh my heavens, how I love that face above!

 S, you made a jack-o-lantern.

Filming in Portland

Back in October we drove to Portland for the day and filmed with Bonni Bohn and her children for the day. Remember this?
We got donuts from VooDoo donuts.
They were yummy--but I still miss Brooklyn donuts.
We filmed on a few different corners.
Right before we left, we realized that we parked in front of . . .a gross place.
  These women are amazing!!!

K, you fell asleep toward the end, but during the majority Bonni watched you as you hollered and cried, until you got to watch a movie.
We ran all over beautiful Portland, savored the donuts and had a great time laughing with friends and acting/filming for the video.  Your dance move still crack me up and you keep on singing the song that we sang and used for the video all over the  house. You claim that you even hear your classmates singing it.  What can I say, it is a catchy song.

S, you made the word "Books" in the dirt.  It was right at the end when you wanted to pick some of Portland's famous roses.
I hope Jeff Kinney comes. People in Albany, Oregon want him to come here too!

R's Concert

The night of the ward Halloween/Harvest festival was R's concert.  Look at your gorgeous pink-a cheeks, K.  Those pants were part of your costume. You went to a babies Halloween party earlier in the day (I forgot to take pictures).

As you can see, there was another little baby that was super cute and loved you, S.
R, you were so sweet marching out for your first band concert. You found us right away.

You waved a lot, R, and we smiled and waved.  T, you made friends with the people behind us and got shushed a few times. But you had a wonderful time!

Movie Invitation for Jeff Kinney to Come Visit

A few weeks ago we started filming for an invitation for the author of Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Jeff Kinney to come and visit our schools in Portland.  Wouldn't it be wonderful if he came?!  We would love it!

Which do you like better?

Polaroid 300

We got a polaroid 300 for a great deal. We ordered some film and a few seconds later started taking photos.
You were so excited about it T.

There was a photo of me, but it may have been the worst picture of me, ever. Vanity got me on that one.  My reason for getting the camera was for future filmmaking--if it is a multi-day shoot in the same outfit and the hair is different or whatnot and I need to record it.  Aaaaand I really wanted it.   You seem to be really liking it too! K, you can even play with it and have yet to take a photo.
